Meet the Doctor
Hey there! I’m Dr. Kari Hickey, owner and chiropractor at Haven Animal Chiropractic.

I grew up on my family’s farm in Glen Haven, Wisconsin, where my love for animals began. After college, I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic. During my first year at Palmer, I adopted my dog, Daisy — and that’s when I discovered that animal chiropractic was actually a thing!

That discovery changed everything for me. I went on to complete a 240-hour program through Animal Chiropractic Education Source in Texas, where I learned the skills and science behind adjusting animals safely and effectively. I’m certified in animal chiropractic through the Animal Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) and love staying up to date on all the best ways to care for my animals and yours!

When I’m not in the office, you’ll usually find me reading, doing puzzles, or hiking and exploring all that East Tennessee has to offer with my husband, Dr. Colin (also a chiropractor), and our two dogs, Daisy and Vader.
I’m so excited to be part of the Knoxville community and to help your four-legged family members feel their best and live happy, healthy lives!
